On the 4th and 5th, the Balkan eCommerce Summit 2024 took place in the Arena Sofia in the namesake Bulgarian city.

The annual event acts as a pole for eCommerce businesses and industry leaders from the Balkans and Central Europe and acts, being the ideal environment for industry-expertise sharing and agenda-setting gatherings.

Our Presence

Orphee Beinoglou SA and Easy Mail, members of the Streem Global Group, participated in the Summit, with the former serving also as a Silver Sponsor of the event.

In addition to that, our Managing Director of Contract Logistics Service Line, Mr Gerasimos Marakis, spoke at the “Market on Focus: Greece” panel that took place on Friday.

Among the many interesting insights Mr Marakis shared with fellow attendees was a presentation of the Greek digital ecosystem, offering valuable inside-knowledge of market trends, eCommerce growth within the Balkan community and a brief analysis of the impact of Gen Z shopping habits.

He also focused on the Hospitality, Tourism, Retail and Fashion business sectors and focused on top performing online stores and marketplaces in Greece such as Shein, Public and Skroutz.

Another topic he discussed was innovation in eCommerce, including real-time mobile selling and AI-powered personalization, alongside an analysis of the domestic logistics landscape, emphasizing the importance of local courier services and cross-border sales opportunities.

Mr Marakis then shared information on Orphee Beinoglou SA and Easy Mail’s diverse transport services and growth opportunities in the Greek market.

Finally, he outlined the Group’s enhanced customer journey from awareness to retention and its essential customer journey from purpose to loyalty.
